LATAM Pass elite status

One top benefit of the LATAM Airlines Mastercard and LATAM Airlines World Elite Mastercard is the ability for credit card purchases to help you qualify for LATAM Pass elite status, making it easier to earn LATAM Pass status or reach a higher tier. You’ll be eligible to begin taking advantage of mileage accrual and other benefits after linking your Cardless and LATAM Pass accounts.

In addition to LATAM Airlines’ travel requirements that vary by tier, cardholders can qualify for LATAM Pass elite status with Qualifying Points earned from credit card spend, as outlined in detail here. While both cards accrue Qualifying Points on eligible purchases, you can earn them twice as quickly with the LATAM Airlines World Elite Mastercard, and you can earn more LATAM Pass Miles for many of your purchases, too.

Frequent flyers can also earn status after accruing a certain number of Qualifying Segments, instead of Qualifying Points, based on the chart below. Travelers earn one segment after completing one paid flight sold by LATAM Airlines and operated by the airline or an eligible partner. All LATAM Pass elite members have access to LATAM Airlines’ Premium Access counters when traveling on domestic and international flights, even in economy class, potentially saving you time when checking in for your flight at the airport. Note that boarding benefits are not included for elite members traveling on a fare booked into the Basic category. Learn more and see LATAM Airlines’ latest eligibility requirements on LATAM Airlines website.

Priority baggage

Checking a bag? LATAM Pass elite members receive priority baggage, with a special tag identifying your checked luggage so that it’s among the first to be delivered at baggage claim, whenever possible. Platinum, Black and Black Signature members also receive one additional checked bag free of charge. Baggage benefits do not apply to LATAM Pass elite members traveling on a fare booked into the Basic category. See LATAM Airlines’ latest eligibility requirements on the airline’s website.

Flight changes

Want to fly earlier or later on the same day? As long as there’s availability, select LATAM Pass elite members can move to a new flight on their original travel date, free of charge. This benefit is available on many domestic flights for Gold Plus, Platinum, Black and Black Signature elites, and on international flights for Black and Black Signature elites.

Note that LATAM Airlines may only operate one flight per day on some routes, in which case it may not be possible to change your flight.
